Boat Showcase: Five Notable Models

Here’s a look at five interesting boat models recently making waves in the nautical world.

Parker 910 Odyssey

Unlike the Sorrento 100, which focuses on sporty cruising, the new 910 Odyssey is more of a dayboat or weekender. The cockpit is the main focus, featuring a large, comfortable lounge with a disappearing table that converts into a large sunbed. A large bimini provides full cockpit enclosure for overnight stays or bad weather and can be set up quickly. Inside, there are two berths, including a bright forward cabin, and a head with a separate shower. With its refined hull and standard 2 x 250 HP engine, the Parker 910 Odyssey can reach speeds of over 40 knots.

Folding bulwarks maximize cockpit space, while the wheelhouse provides a protected area with sliding glass doors. Inside, there’s a double cabin and head in the bow, and a second cabin cleverly located under the cockpit sunbed. Smart and practical, it can accommodate up to 9 people. With its 2 x 300 HP Mercury configuration, the 340 GTWA is said to reach 50 knots.

However, with a 126 kWh battery pack, range at top speed is limited to just 14 minutes. At a cruising speed of 30 knots, range increases to 26 nautical miles, and at 5 knots, it reaches 60 nautical miles. A fast charger can bring the battery to 80% capacity in one hour. The Axopar AX/E 25 offers a simple cabin for two. Axopar also offers a 100% electric version based on the 22-foot model.
