BENETEAU unveils its new Gran Turismo range
Beneteau Unveils New Gran Turismo Range: A Sport-Luxe Vision for Express Cruisers
Envisioned as private islands on the water, these boats emphasize open spaces, onboard circulation, and a direct connection with the sea. The new models incorporate large side and rear terraces, modular living areas, and a particularly refined level of finish. The onboard experience is designed to be fluid, focused on both relaxation and nautical activities.
“This is a particularly exciting time for BENETEAU. Gran Turismo was a very popular range in its segment, combining technology, performance, and style. But there was a need to modernize our model offering in this market. Designed with the user at the heart of its priorities, the new range embodies our ‘Sport-Luxe’ vision, offering open spaces in a premium environment. The all-new Gran Turismo range represents the quintessence of the Crossover Express Cruiser,” explains Eric LeVine, Commercial Director of Motor Yachts.
A New Way to Experience the Sea: Between Sport and Leisure
The promise of this new line: comfortable and responsive navigation, without compromising on autonomy. True to the “Gran Turismo” spirit, it focuses on the pleasure of piloting as well as the quality of life at anchor. On board, everything is designed to simplify use: recharging the electric motor of the tender, inflating a paddleboard or kayak, or powering equipment via lithium batteries and solar energy. This approach allows you to enjoy the silence without sacrificing modern comfort.
Each unit will also be equipped with a gyroscopic stabilization system to limit movement and enhance the feeling of well-being on board, even at anchor.
The design work was entrusted to a team that chose to start from a blank slate. Inspiration was drawn from early express cruisers, but also from more minimalist influences.
Robert Chaffer, product manager at BENETEAU, elaborates:
“The new Gran Turismo range is designed to be remarkable. We had the rare opportunity to start from a blank page, to bring what an ‘express cruiser’ means back to its original roots. Back when express cruisers were elegant and harmonious boats. This heritage, as well as the adoption of the Japanese design principles Kanso (simplicity) and Y?gen (grace), allowed the team to create a silhouette that appears simple but reveals itself to be powerful. A style particularly visible thanks to the play of light that highlights the exterior design and the tranquility on board.
We listened to our customers and adopted a minimalist and elegant approach that we believe will appeal to boaters who want flexibility and the opportunity to thrive and have fun on the water. We are eager to see the reactions that this range will generate when the models are presented throughout the year.”
An Unprecedented Collaboration with Alpine
This new generation Gran Turismo is also accompanied by an unprecedented partnership with the Alpine brand, emblematic in the world of French sports cars. Limited editions resulting from this collaboration are planned in the coming months. The idea: to transpose the world of sporty and elegant automobiles into the world of boating, via a shared design and exclusive services.
The Gran Turismo 35 and 40 will be previewed at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September 2025. The three models will be brought together for the first time at Boot Düsseldorf in early 2026.
