Cap Camarat 12.5 WA Review: A day at sea with the family
A Day on the Cap Camarat 12.5 WA: A Family Cruise
9:00 AM – Embarking on the 12.5 WA
The sun is still low on the harbor, but the Cap Camarat 12.5 WA is already turning heads. Its sleek lines, assertive bow, and sporty cruiser look are undeniable. On board, the children discover the sunbeds at the front, while the parents organize belongings in the lockers and turn on the refrigerator. The starboard side door allows easy boarding directly from the dock. Everything is designed to simplify life on board, even with young children or lots of equipment.
10:30 AM – Heading for the Coves
The father settles into the helm, protected by a large windshield. Three ergonomic seats with high-end upholstery, two ultra-readable Garmin screens: the departure is smooth. The children monitor the navigation from the front bench seat. The boat planes quickly, without strain. A comfortable 30 knots, and a hull developed by Michael Peters that swallows the chop with great ease. But here, it’s not speed that counts: it’s comfort, space, and serenity.
1:00 PM – Anchoring and Lunch
The cove is deserted. Anchoring in seconds, swimming from the port platform. While the children explore the seabed, the barbecue is fired up at the rear. The fully equipped leaning post becomes a real outdoor kitchen. The cockpit bench seat is reinstalled in a flash. It’s good to be here. The children rest in the aft cabin (one double berth, one single), while the parents have coffee at the front, on the bench seat complementing the double sunbed. On the port side, the mini terrace opens electrically, with its safety rail and removable ladder: a real terrace on the sea. On board, everything is calm.
3:00 PM – Relaxation on Board
The convertible forward cabin offers a real resting area. The bathroom, with separate shower, is perfect for rinsing off. The electric sunroof of the T-Top lets in a pleasant breeze. The boat is stationary, but remains a true floating cocoon. A small noise is heard – the air extractor from the bilges – a point that the shipyard plans to improve.
6:00 PM – Gentle Return
The Cap Camarat 12.5 WA returns to port as it left: effortlessly, smoothly. The joystick works wonders in maneuvers. A final rinse, a final look at the boat’s lines, and already a promise: we’ll be back. When leaving the boat, the Seanapps application takes care of everything: maintenance tracking, technical data, alerts. The navigation continues, even ashore.
