ContextVision and AMRA Medical in new collaboration for improved diagnostics of liver diseases
ContextVision and AMRA Medical Collaborate on AI-Powered Diagnostics for Fatty Liver Disease
ContextVision, a leader in medical image analysis software, is partnering with AMRA Medical to develop new diagnostic solutions for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), a condition affecting up to a quarter of the world’s population.
The collaboration combines ContextVision’s expertise in AI and ultrasound with AMRA’s proficiency in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)-based body composition analysis. The goal is to create a novel, non-invasive method for early detection and monitoring of the disease’s progression.
AMRA Medical will contribute its MRI-based technology for measuring liver fat (PDFF), abdominal fat volumes, and muscle status. Their data will enrich the multimodal dataset, enabling correlations between MRI and ultrasound-based biomarkers – strengthening ContextVision’s development of solutions for disease staging.
“As we build our Data Quality business, partnerships like this are crucial,” says Gerald Pötzsch, CEO of ContextVision. “AMRA’s highly detailed MR measurements add significant value to our clinical data pipeline. Together, we are approaching a new standard in liver disease diagnostics – non-invasive, accurate, and scalable.”
Olof Dahlqvist Leinhard, CEO of AMRA Medical, adds: “We are excited to be part of ContextVision’s broader initiative to redefine liver diagnostics. Our combined technologies provide a more complete and personalized view of the patient’s health status.”
The initiative strengthens ContextVision’s growing network of research partners, which already includes the University of Washington (USA), the University of Waterloo (Canada), and InPhase Solutions (Norway).
