Sunbrella’s Tailored Touch for the Lagoon EIGHTY 2
Sunbrella has masterfully crafted the outdoor spaces of the Lagoon EIGHTY 2 with bespoke textile compositions. The interplay of textures and subtle color associations enhances the richness of the surrounding environment, creating a harmonious travel experience. The fabrics draw inspiration from the colors of Polynesian lagoons, their lush vegetation, and emerald waters, while meeting the demanding requirements of offshore navigation. They are particularly renowned for their resistance to UV rays, weathering, and the wear and tear of time.
From Furniture to Seating
Sunbrella fabrics adorn furniture, genoa sails, cushions, and integrated seating alike. Whether bouclé or quilted, striped or heathered, the upholstery pays homage to the beauty of island landscapes. Like scales evoking the seabed, stripes add rhythm and relief to the backs of sofas and armchairs. Depending on the angle of the sun, the seats subtly change hue, shifting from blue to deep green. Other textile references, with their texture and heathered gray shade, recall the rocks where everyone finds their living space.

A Legacy of French Expertise: Over 60 Years of Sunbrella
For more than 60 years, Sunbrella has been providing comprehensive solutions for dressing the interiors and exteriors of boats, while protecting the crew and equipment. The range is constantly evolving, keeping pace with trends and technological advancements. The collections, designed and manufactured in France, are created to meet specific needs, whether for seating and cushions or for biminis, awnings, protective covers, and more. The variety of these ranges allows for equipping all types of boats: semi-rigid boats, yachts, sailboats, and catamarans.
A Range for Every Need: From Sailboats to Motorboats
Sunbrella offers no fewer than 200 textile references spread across 10 ranges. Among these, there are specific products such as the UV filter (SWK6 / SWK15), which allows natural light to penetrate while regulating brightness and filtering the sun’s heat. Furlink is designed to protect the genoa from UV rays during moorings, and for upholstery applications (armchairs, sofas, benches), the Horizon range is ideal. It combines all the most demanding properties for nautical use: remarkable resistance to mold, pink bacterial stains, extreme temperatures, and fading. The range consists of two distinct textures: “Cappriccio” with a smooth leather look and “Sorrento” which has a textile effect. These are just a few examples among the 200 references offered.

Insights: Sunbrella’s Commitment to Durability and Sustainability
On a boat, fabrics, whether indoors or outdoors, for comfort or protection, are subjected to salt, wind, sand, rain, humidity, etc., which no fabric, even high-end ones designed for terrestrial use, can withstand. Sunbrella has made this type of technical fabric its specialty. Moreover, for more than 10 years, it has been mindful of its ecological impact and has implemented concrete actions within the framework of the “Greenovation” program. Indeed, Sunbrella takes into account the entire life cycle of its products, including water management, the use of green electricity and advanced equipment, and waste recycling. At its two production plants, the brand annually recycles 280 tons of waste, a major part of which is used to manufacture the recycled yarn used to produce the new Endless Stories collection.
