Munters establishes MTN program and green framework for bonds.
Munters Establishes Medium Term Note Program and Green Finance Framework
Munters Group AB (Munters) has established a Medium Term Note (MTN) program with a framework amount of SEK 5 billion and a framework for green financing.
Munters’ current debt financing mainly consists of bank loans and commercial paper. With the new MTN program, Munters aims to further diversify its funding sources. The base prospectus for the program has been approved and registered by the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority and will be published on Munters’ website.
Munters has also established a green framework that enables the issuance of green bonds under the MTN program. The green framework has been prepared in line with the International Capital Markets Association’s (ICMA) Green Bond Principles, which has been evaluated by an independent third party, Moody’s Investor Service.
The base prospectus, the green finance framework, and Moody’s second party opinion are available on Munters’ website.
Katharina Fischer, CFO and GVP at Munters, states: “Establishing an MTN program together with a framework for green bonds is a strategically important step in our financing strategy. It strengthens our financial flexibility and creates opportunities to broaden the funding base – fully in line with our ambition to consolidate our position as a long-term sustainable company.”
Nordea has been appointed as arranger of the MTN program and will also act as issuing agent together with SEB, Swedbank, Danske Bank & Handelsbanken. Mannheimer Swartling Advokatbyrå acted as legal advisor to Munters.
