Beneteau Unveils Redesigned Oceanis 47 and 52 Cruisers
After two years of development, incorporating feedback from owners, distributors, and rental companies within the Beneteau network, the French brand is taking a significant step forward. The Oceanis 47 and 52 are not merely new models; they represent a completely redesigned generation of cruising monohulls, where every detail is driven by practical use. The promise is to offer an accessible, intuitive, and highly customizable sailing experience, without sacrificing bold design or the joy of sailing.
Oceanis 52: Flagship Cruising
Designed by Biscontini Yacht Design and Nauta Design, the Oceanis 52 immediately establishes itself as an owner’s yacht. A direct descendant of the Oceanis 51.1, it amplifies its qualities with a 30% larger aft cockpit, flowing lines, and a pronounced chine that enhances balance and responsiveness under sail. The diamond-shaped, double-C cockpit provides smooth circulation between the helm stations, the swim platform, and the companionway. Two height-adjustable tables and an outdoor galley with a griddle and central refrigerator transform anchorage moments into true havens of pleasure.
Maneuvering is remarkably easy while sailing. The skipper has intuitive controls and 12-inch screens at their fingertips, while the twin-rudder hull is guided with precision. The Oceanis 52 comes standard with a self-tacking jib and a 46.5 m2 furling mainsail. The First Line version, with a taller mast and overlapping genoa, offers an additional 49 m2 of sail area and increased performance.
Inside, the C-shaped galley integrates seamlessly into a bright saloon, enhanced by sand oak woodwork and high-end upholstery. The owner’s suite impresses with its volume, 160 cm bed, double wardrobe, cozy atmosphere, and onboard silence – the result of significant soundproofing work. Up to five cabins and three heads can be configured. The overall design embodies a new luxury: understated, functional, and entirely dedicated to the pleasure of living at sea.

The result of a collaboration between Finot-Conq and Nauta Design, the Oceanis 47 retains the spirit of the range while modernizing it with finesse. More compact than the 52, it captivates with a sleek silhouette, a pronounced chine, and a spacious cockpit, thanks to the extended beam to the stern. This enclosed cockpit – rare in this segment – guarantees an increased sense of security, while offering modularity and comfort, notably with an integrated griddle and sunbeds distributed around the companionway and at the stern.
Inside, the three-cabin / two-head version features a separate chart table, a Corian galley, and a bright saloon where conviviality remains central. The Elegance Pack enhances the ambiance with alpi woodwork, a padded bed, smoked mirrors, and textured finishes. Three ambiance palettes – Sunset, Pacific, or Ivory – allow for extensive customization.
Under sail, the Oceanis 47 shines with its ease of handling. The furling mast and self-tacking jib are standard. The most demanding will opt for the First Line Pack, with a taller mast, increased sail area, and enhanced ergonomics at the helm. On this 14.60 m yacht, nothing is left to chance: the windlass, winches, engine controls, and navigation screens (up to 12 inches) are all accessible from the cockpit.
