Palma International Boat Show 2025: A Growing Edition to Open the Mediterranean Season

Palma International Boat Show Expands to Meet Growing Demand

Following a successful 2024 edition with 295 exhibitors and 260 boats afloat, the Palma International Boat Show (PIBS) is set to grow even further this year. A significant expansion includes a new 5,000 m2 exhibition area at the Club de Mar, dedicated to vessels ranging from 40 to 100 meters, primarily sailing yachts. This expansion, long anticipated, addresses the increasing demand from exhibitors, particularly in the large yacht segment.

The Palma International Boat Show is organized by the regional Ministry of Business, Employment and Energy of the Balearic Islands, through ADR Balears, in collaboration with the Balearic Yacht Brokers Association (BYBA).

Expanded Offerings to Satisfy Demand

To accommodate the growing demand, the show is expanding this year with the new 5,000 m2 exhibition area at the Club de Mar. This space will host vessels from 40 to 100 meters, mainly sailing yachts from specialized shipyards. The site also features a land area dedicated to service companies for large vessels, including repair, naval engineering, construction, and interior design.

The two exhibition areas – the historic Moll Vell and the Club de Mar – will be connected by a maritime shuttle, providing quick and easy access for visitors.

The Superyacht Village (formerly Palma Superyacht Show) remains a highlight of the show. Dedicated to yachts of 24 meters and longer, it offers a selection of boats available for purchase or charter, as well as a large onshore exhibitor area specializing in technological innovation, sailmaking, marine electronics, and interior fittings.

A dedicated Refit & Repair section also showcases local and international expertise in the maintenance, renovation, and modernization of superyachts.

  • Ferretti 580, a refined yacht for luxury cruising enthusiasts.
  • Various sailing and motor units offered by BENETEAU, covering a wide range of uses.
  • Bali 4.2 and Bali 5.4, two catamarans appreciated for their habitability and autonomy at sea.

The Palma International Boat Show provides a diverse overview of the market, from family-friendly units to sporty models and large vessels designed for cruising.

A Show That Has Become an Economic Engine

More than just a boat show, the PIBS has become a major player in the local and regional economy over its 40-year history. With nearly 30,000 visitors expected each year and a 96% exhibitor retention rate, its economic impact is now estimated at over 20 million euros. The event helps extend the tourist season, boost local commerce, and position the Balearic Islands as a leading European nautical destination.

By adapting to market growth while consolidating its regional roots, the event now plays a key role in positioning the Balearic Islands as a reference destination for large yachting in the Mediterranean.
