Pershing Celebrates its 40th Anniversary in Capri Under the Banner of Design, Speed, and Emotion
A Launch of Light and Music
The magic began on the first evening. Under the stars of Capri, the new Pershing GTX70 was unveiled to the rhythm of a luminous ballet of 300 drones, in the mythical setting of the La Canzone del Mare restaurant. The atmosphere intensified with the live performance of Gianluigi Lembo and his group Anema e Core, iconic figures of Capri’s nightlife.
The next day, guests set sail for lunch at Quattro Passi in Nerano, a three-Michelin-starred culinary stop, before returning to Capri for two exceptional dinners, at Il Riccio and on the waterfront terrace of chef Franco Pepe, at a-Ma-Re Capri. Meanwhile, the sea became a stage: the Pershing 6X, 7X, and 8X crossed paths with the new GTX models, including the spectacular GTX116. A nautical ballet that sums up the Pershing spirit: power, elegance, innovation.
An Assumed Heritage, An Asserted Future
For its 40th anniversary, the brand surrounded itself with carefully selected partners. From Flexjet for private aviation to Murphy&Nye® and its dedicated capsule collection, to Marchesi Antinori wines or the latest generation SEABOBs, everything was thought out in the smallest detail. Even George Russell, Formula 1 driver and now a happy owner of a Pershing 6X, was at the party, adding an extra touch of speed to the event.
Pershing represents 40 years of sporty yachts with sleek designs and cutting-edge performance. Its slogan, echoed by Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi, sets the tone: “You don’t drive a Pershing, you pilot it.” Two ranges embody this vision today: the X Series, with its iconic style, and the GTX line, more versatile and daring. With the GTX70, the brand confirms its ambition: to push the boundaries of luxury yachting even further.
The French Riviera Echoing Capri
The festivities extend to the French Riviera. In June, the Jéroboam Cup brought together golf and yacht enthusiasts in Mandelieu-La Napoule for a chic and friendly event. In July, the GTX80 made a remarkable appearance at the Yacht Club de Monaco during the COTE Magazine evening, between an AKRIS fashion show and private tours. Next stop: the Cannes Yachting Festival in September, to conclude this 40th anniversary in style.
