Sanguineti Inaugurates New Production Site in Casarza Ligure, Near Genoa
Sanguineti Relocates and Expands Operations
Sanguineti, a manufacturer specializing in custom equipment for yachts and superyachts, has officially moved its headquarters and workshops to a new 8,000 m2 facility in Casarza Ligure, a few kilometers from its historic site in Chiavari. Backed by the Quick Group since 2023, the company has invested over 4 million euros in this project, including 1.6 million for state-of-the-art equipment. This relocation supports strong growth momentum, with turnover more than doubling in two years, and a strategy focused on expanding production and renewing expertise.
A Reimagined Industrial Tool to Support Upscaling
Since its creation in 1958, Sanguineti has accompanied the rise of the superyacht market with a production that has remained faithful to Italian craftsmanship. Tender cranes, bathing platforms, gangways, retractable capstans, multifunctional stairs, and helm chairs: its custom-made products now equip iconic units, some of which have been in service for decades. This requirement for customization has remained intact, while adapting to modern industrial standards.
The move to the new site in Casarza Ligure is the result of a two-year project, with 3 million euros dedicated to the development of infrastructure, and approximately 1.6 million to the acquisition of cutting-edge machines: CNC milling machines, digital lathes, water jet cutting, and a new paint booth. Everything is connected to the design office to streamline production and reduce lead times, in a logic fully compatible with Industry 4.0.
“This new site allows us to produce more and better, while remaining true to our artisanal identity,” explains Simone Lorenzano, appointed General Manager in February 2025. “Each component we manufacture is unique or produced in limited series. Even with these new resources, we remain in a logic of exceptional pieces.”
The new layout also aims to strengthen collaboration between departments and support the upskilling of teams. A particular effort is being made to integrate new profiles and transmit internal know-how. “The building was designed to last, with a flexible configuration that will allow us to evolve according to market needs.”
By joining the Quick Group – an international specialist in essential components for boating – Sanguineti also benefits from an environment conducive to the pooling of resources and synergy between brands.
Finally, this change of scale is accompanied by a commercial evolution: while the majority of projects concern yachts between 30 and 60 meters, the company is now targeting units of 80 meters and more. An ambition made possible by the expansion of production capacities, without compromising on quality.
A Company in Transition, but Faithful to its DNA
By focusing on controlled growth, a strong local presence, and a modernized production tool, Sanguineti seeks to combine artisanal heritage and contemporary industrial requirements. This new chapter, opened in Casarza Ligure, confirms its desire to occupy a prominent place in the European superyacht landscape, remaining attentive to the market as well as to those who design these exceptional units.
