Sectra delivers its complete solution as a cloud service to a regional healthcare provider in the USA and accelerates their AI usage for better patient diagnostics.
Sectra to Provide Cloud-Based Medical Imaging Solution to US Healthcare Provider
Linköping, Sweden – May 28, 2025 – Medical technology and cybersecurity company Sectra (STO: SECT B) will provide a US healthcare provider with its comprehensive medical imaging solution as a cloud service, Sectra One Cloud, including its AI service, Sectra Amplifier Service. The cloud service, for which Sectra assumes full responsibility, will enhance security and scalability and streamline workflows within the healthcare provider’s radiology, mammography, and cardiology departments. This transition will, in turn, support them in further improving patient care.
Consolidating multiple systems into a single one will help the healthcare provider reduce the workload on their IT department. By bringing their radiology, mammography, and cardiology departments together in the same solution, they will be able to share data and images more quickly, thereby streamlining care processes for their patients.
Sectra One Cloud and Sectra Amplifier Service are cloud services for which Sectra takes full responsibility. This means that the healthcare provider receives a complete solution with support for AI that Sectra monitors, optimizes, and upgrades. Through Sectra Amplifier Service, they will have the opportunity to integrate third-party applications into the clinical workflow. The service enables all applications to run on a single common infrastructure, eliminating the need to manage multiple separate systems and thereby reducing security risks. In addition, Sectra takes full responsibility for entire workflows – from integration and installation to management and support, further reducing the burden on the IT department.
Isaac Zaworski, President of Sectra in the US, comments:
“More and more healthcare providers in the US are seeing the benefits of AI, which makes it an important factor when they evaluate and choose a comprehensive supplier. I am proud that we at Sectra can support this healthcare provider with a solution that accelerates their implementation of AI and contributes to their work towards reduced workload and better patient care.”
The five-year contract was signed in the fourth quarter of Sectra’s fiscal year 2024/2025. The healthcare provider performs approximately 700,000 diagnostic imaging examinations annually and will begin by using the modules for radiology, mammography, and cardiology, as well as AI applications for radiology, mammography, and orthopedics.
Sectra’s comprehensive medical imaging solution provides healthcare providers with a unified strategy for all medical imaging management needs, improving patient care while contributing to lower operating costs. The scalable solution is modular and based on a multimedia archive (VNA) that supports all image management. This allows healthcare providers to expand the solution, specialty by specialty and hospital by hospital.
