Lamborghini’s New Yacht: A Supercar for the Seas
Lamborghini is expanding its horizons beyond the asphalt, venturing into the marine world with the Tecnomar for Lamborghini 101FT yacht. This vessel isn’t just a boat; it’s a statement, a floating embodiment of the Lamborghini ethos.
Design and Inspiration
From the first glance, the Lamborghini inspiration is undeniable. The yacht’s silhouette echoes the design language of Sant’Agata Bolognese:
* Sharp lines
* Sculpted details
* Headlights and taillights inspired by the Fenomeno
The launch color, Giallo Crius, is a vibrant yellow typical of Lamborghini.
A Cockpit on the Water
The helm station mirrors the Temerario, Lamborghini’s new V8 hybrid supercar. Controls and screens are designed like an automotive cockpit, making piloting the yacht feel like driving a Lamborghini.
Power and Performance
Beneath its futuristic exterior, the 101FT hides impressive mechanics:
* Three MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines
* Three surface propellers
* Totaling 7,600 horsepower
This setup allows for a top speed of 45 knots and a comfortable cruising speed of 35 knots. Two 35 kW generators ensure reliability and autonomy. The hull and superstructure are made of aluminum, balancing robustness and lightness.
Lamborghini DNA Inside
The interior reflects the brand’s style:
* Hexagonal patterns
* “Y” shapes
* Contrasting stitching
* High-end materials
The yacht accommodates nine guests in modular, bright spaces, with three cabins for the crew. Every detail is designed for comfort and spectacle on long voyages. Each unit can be customized to the owner’s preferences, like Lamborghini cars.
Expanding the Vision
The first model, the Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63, launched in 2020 to honor the brand’s founding year, featured a carbon hull and a top speed of 60 knots. Several dozen were sold. With the new 101FT, Lamborghini and The Italian Sea Group aim higher: a yacht designed for both speed and high-end cruising.
Italian Craftsmanship
“With the Tecnomar for Lamborghini 101FT, we take the Lamborghini DNA to sea,” says Stephan Winkelmann, Lamborghini’s president. Mitja Borkert, design director, emphasizes the meticulous work by the Centro Stile to adapt Lamborghini’s universe to the water. The Italian Sea Group, based in Tuscany, provides technical expertise and craftsmanship.
Anticipation Builds
Presented as a model at the Monaco Yacht Show, the final version will set sail in late 2027. The 101FT symbolizes the alliance of two Italian luxury icons. More than a yacht, it’s a supercar of the seas, combining speed, design, and comfort.
