Sialia Yachts Set to Launch Cutting-Edge Electric Yacht, the Sialia 45
The highly anticipated launch of the Sialia 45 is on the horizon, with construction nearing completion at a Polish shipyard. This autumn will mark the debut of what Sialia Yachts envisions as a game-changer in electric yachting. “Creating one of the world’s most advanced electric yachts is no ordinary task,” states Milvio Ricci, Chief Commercial Officer of Sialia Yachts. “Each system onboard demands meticulous testing, precise calibration, and the integration of pioneering technologies.”
While initially slated for a summer unveiling, the timeline was strategically extended. Ricci clarifies, “This isn’t a delay, but a choice to ensure the Sialia 45 surpasses all expectations. When it takes to the sea, it won’t just join the world of electric yachting: it will redefine it.”
Unprecedented Power and Range
The Sialia 45, measuring 14 meters in length, boasts twin 300 kW motors capable of reaching speeds of up to 43 knots. At a cruising speed of 25 knots, it offers a range of 55 nautical miles with the standard 500 kWh battery pack. Opting for the endurance pack, which adds an additional 200 kWh, extends the range to 77 nautical miles. For those seeking even greater distances, a biodiesel-compatible range extender (available in 140 or 350 kW options) can push the autonomy to between 164 and 240 nautical miles.
Charging is also a key focus. Even with the endurance pack, a charge from 10 to 90% can be achieved in just three and a half hours, alleviating range anxiety.
Design Prioritizing Comfort and Versatility
The hull, constructed from epoxy sandwich carbon, combines lightness, rigidity, and robustness, ensuring a quiet and comfortable ride. Three versions are available: Runabout, Sport, and Weekender. Each is tailored to a specific use, from sporty day trips to family cruises with an air-conditioned salon.
Inside, the Sialia 45 offers a welcoming layout with a saloon, an optional galley, and a comfortable cabin. On deck, ample relaxation areas and various seating configurations cater to diverse preferences, from outings with friends to weekend getaways at sea.
A Commitment to Sustainability
Sialia Yachts emphasizes a sustainable approach throughout the entire lifecycle of its yachts, not just in its electric propulsion. Features such as recycled cork flooring, the use of recyclable materials, and the minimal maintenance requirements of electric motors reflect this commitment. The batteries, guaranteed for five years and designed for 3,000 cycles, are also upgradeable, allowing for future technological advancements and reducing yacht depreciation.
Founded in 2017 by Stanislav Szadkowski, Sialia Yachts specializes in high-end electric yachts, blending performance with environmental responsibility. Following the launch of the Sialia 57 Deep Silence in 2022, the brand is expanding its range with the 45, 59, and 80 Explorer models.
Redefining Electric Yachting
With the Sialia 45, Sialia Yachts aims to demonstrate that electric yachting is not a distant dream but a rapidly evolving reality. Combining power, range, and a commitment to sustainability, this new model embodies the company’s dedication to placing innovation at the service of more environmentally conscious navigation.
“When it takes to the sea, it won’t just join the world of electric yachting: it will redefine it.” – Milvio Ricci, Chief Commercial Officer of Sialia Yachts.
