PTC Launches Creo 12 for Increased Design Speed, Productivity, and Collaboration in Engineering
PTC Launches Creo 12: Empowering Manufacturers with Enhanced Design Capabilities
BOSTON – June 4, 2025 – PTC (NASDAQ: PTC) has released Creo® 12, the latest version of its CAD solution, designed to enable manufacturers to deliver superior designs more efficiently. Creo 12 introduces hundreds of powerful enhancements across design, simulation, and manufacturing functionalities, allowing teams to work smarter, accomplish more, and collaborate more effectively.
- Improved Usability and Productivity: Creo 12 incorporates user-requested features, including feature presets, multi-part assemblies, and significant updates to sheet metal design and the advanced surfacing module.
- Advanced Composite Design and Manufacturing: New and improved tools accelerate composite development without compromising quality, enabling market-leading precision and performance in the design and production of composite structures.
- Enhanced AI-Driven Generative Design: Thermal physics has been integrated into Creo’s award-winning AI-driven generative design capabilities. Automatic contact creation in Ansys real-time simulation allows teams to iterate and optimize designs even faster.
- Design for Electrification: Creo 12 extends Creo’s assembly design strengths to cable harnesses, simplifying collaboration and reducing the complexity of harness systems.
Creo 12 also introduces new links between Creo models and technical material data within PTC’s Windchill® product lifecycle management (PLM) solution. This supports sustainability initiatives by providing greater visibility into material choices and their associated environmental impact, including carbon footprint.
The latest version of Creo+®, a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) version of Creo offering cloud-based collaboration and entitlement tools, is also now available.
