Smoltek Semi Takes Next Step Towards Pilot Production of CNF-MIM Capacitors

Smoltek Semi Nears Pilot Production of CNF-MIM Capacitors

Smoltek Nanotech Holding AB announces that its subsidiary, Smoltek Semi, is approaching pilot production of CNF-MIM capacitors. This development is part of the collaboration with the Taiwanese research institute, Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI). Together, the partners have established the technical framework for setting up a pilot production line – a milestone towards the future industrialization of the capacitor technology.

In early March, Smoltek Semi’s management visited ITRI to finalize the technical details for establishing a pilot production line for Smoltek’s CNF-MIM capacitors. The framework includes several time-bound project blocks, with each step carefully planned and evaluated to ensure a stable and efficient development process. Concurrently, the development of Smoltek’s CNF-MIM technology continues, with each prototype generation – currently CNF-MIM Gen-One – being tested and improved in multiple iterations to optimize performance.

The establishment of pilot production is a crucial part of Smoltek Semi’s strategy to enable future volume production of CNF-MIM capacitors, a technology that addresses the semiconductor industry’s growing need for high-performance and space-saving solutions.
