How Does it Work?
The method is simple: using a photo, the AI analyzer calculates facial characteristics (complexion, hair, lips, eyes) and indicates which season you belong to – the range of shades that are supposed to “enhance” your face. A “cool summer” should favor azure blue, light gray, powder pink, or mauve. A “warm autumn” should choose saffron yellow, hazelnut brown, terracotta, or olive green.
The Science Behind the Seasons
This technology is inspired by draping, a technique long used by image consultants. Draping involves layering pieces of colored fabric, from the warmest to the coolest shades, under the client’s face to determine which color illuminates the complexion the most – much like good photo lighting. This technique is inspired by the method developed in the United States in the 1940s by couturier Suzanne Caygill (1911-1994).
