Schneider Electric Named World’s Most Sustainable Company for Second Year
Schneider Electric, a leader in digital transformation of energy and automation, has been recognized as the “World’s Most Sustainable Company 2025” by TIME Magazine and Statista. This marks the second consecutive year that Schneider Electric has topped the list, which ranks 500 of the world’s most sustainable companies.
This recognition acknowledges Schneider Electric’s consistent efforts to achieve its sustainability goals, as well as the company’s commitment to helping its customers become more energy-efficient and reduce their emissions. With transparency, Schneider Electric continues to deliver on its ambitious climate goals, including an absolute emissions reduction target of 25 percent across the value chain by 2030, and net-zero emissions by 2050. This progress is driven by the company’s SBTi-validated net-zero strategy and the Schneider Sustainability Impact 2021–2025 (SSI) program – a roadmap for sustainable development, not only for Schneider Electric and its partners, but also for customers and local communities.
“We are incredibly proud to be named the world’s most sustainable company for the second year. As a technology company, our goal is to be a trusted partner that delivers efficiency and sustainability. At Schneider, sustainability is an integral part of everything we do. We want to be an Impact Company where performance is the foundation. Our drive, our mission, and our culture set us apart and ensure that our entire business contributes to a more sustainable world,” says Olivier Blum, CEO of Schneider Electric.
The ranking is based on an analysis of 5,700 companies through 20 key indicators, ultimately selecting 500 of the world’s most sustainable companies. Factors assessed include Scope 1 and 2 emissions and energy consumption in relation to company size, emissions reduction, and the proportion of renewable energy in operations. External sustainability ratings, company reporting practices, and indicators of environmental and social performance are also considered.
Schneider Electric has also been named the world’s most sustainable company by Corporate Knights – the only company to twice take first place in their Global 100 ranking. Additionally, the company has been named Europe’s and France’s most sustainable company by the same organization.
